Cacing Cau — Dunia Baru

Three day ago, there was a Release Party going on the Common Room, Bandung. The Release party was held by id-ubuntu and KLuB. Those party was about the celebration for new release of Ubuntu 7.04 codename : feisty fawn. Well think about it, i didn’t expect that will be so many participate that join with us in that day. The Party was started from 10.00 am with opening by Mr Gustaff (the owner of Common Room), and keynote by Mr Budi Rahardjo.

The participate is more from Collage students, i guess so. But There’s also Mr Andika and Mr Amal that joined the party with us. 

The party was "ROCK", nobody can doubt that. In fact many of them planing to join to another event if there another.

A little conclusion of the party that was held 3 day’s ago : 

Hehehe, "i Bet you will" , is the prase one of MTV show, but this "i bet you will" is about installing ubuntu as a replacement for proprietary OS that some of them cost a lot of cash to spend..

So what are you waiting for use them now, and be creative 

Kalo melihat gugus bintang opiuchus yang diilustrasikan dengan manusia yang memegang ular akan terasa seakan penasaran ingin mengetahui legendanya.. , ini adalah legenda singkat yang didapat dari berbagai sumber..

Ophiuchus menurut mythologi yunani adalah seseorang yang disebut Asclepius. Dia adalah anak dari Apollo dan Coronis, puteri dari Raja Phlegyas of the Lapiths. Dia diberikan kekuatan oleh Athena untuk membangkitkan orang dari kematian termasuk juga membangkitkan Orion, "the hunter". Dia terbunuh oleh sengatan petir dari Zeus yang diperintahkan oleh Hades. Setelah Asclepius dibangkitkan dari kematian, Hades khawatir akan jumlah kematian didunia bawah sana akan berkurang. Dia berubah menjadi gugusan bintang untuk meredakan amarah Apollo yang telah membunuh 3 cyclop. Cyclops, mahluk mistis bermata satu yang dibuat dari kilat Zeus.

Hohoho… Ubuntu 7.04 is Out…. hehehehe, Ready To order From Shipit, Or you might consider to download from ubuntu server or comunity server …

Maybe you already notice after installing ubuntu, there will be some app to install but what?, guess this explanation will work for you guys.. cheers

1.You will notice when u first install ubuntu to your PC it wont play any mp3 files, so i suggest you should install mplayer or xmms, each have their own plus,

$ sudo apt-get install xmms or $ sudo apt-get install mplayer

2.Now for those who love design and often to use Adobe or Corel you might wonder would they go on my ubuntu ? the answer is yes and no, why no, that’s because you might notice that all files ended by *.exe (M$ ext) wont run on ubuntu, so you might consider for another replacement for those apps, i suggest you to install inkscape (corel like) and gimp (photoshop like),

now for the yes answer, cek out on point 3.

3.Since *.exe wont work, now you feel like in a small box, but wait, not all is true, you still can execute the *.exe ext with one condition, you must install emulatior for window$. Now, many can make *.exe run on ubuntu, just like this one app that called “wine”. The fact is wine doesn’t use any of M$ lib or M$ code they just simply port *.exe to your ubuntu.

4.Now, how about reading, ebooks n stuff, don’t sweat it, you can still all your activities. Now, there are xchm (chm reader), xpdf (pdf reader), Open Office writer (doc reader, but i guess in the first installation it already available).

5.What about for 3D design-er, you might consider blender for your exchange with 3Ds Max.

This guide i implement on Edgy Eft but, i don’t think it would be a problem by implementing them to Feisty Fawn, but Remember to change / find repo list for Feisty Fawn too.
